As a Senior Manager within the RAS team at BDO, you will play a pivotal role in managing risk for our clients across diverse industries in both the public and private sectors, helping them build resilient operations in today’s ever-changing business landscape.We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented internal audit professional with strong expertise in risk management, governance, and compliance. In this role, you will be responsible for evaluating and enhancing clients’ internal controls, processes, and systems to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements. You will leverage your experience to identify control gaps and process inefficiencies, recommending improvements that strengthen governance and drive operational excellence.This position offers a significant opportunity to help grow and shape our internal audit services, leveraging the strong network and knowledge base across BDO firms globally. The ideal candidate will have excellent client relationship skills and proven team management experience, enabling the delivery of exceptional service and value to our clientele.Key ResponsibilitiesRisk Management and Advisory

• Conduct comprehensive internal audits across a variety of areas, focusing on high-risk areas and ensuring compliance with relevant policies and regulations.
• Assess the effectiveness of internal controls and risk management processes, identifying areas for improvement and opportunities for process optimisation.
• Prepare detailed audit reports and presentations to communicate findings and actionable recommendations to senior management.
• Collaborate with client management and relevant departments to facilitate the implementation of recommended improvements and monitor progress.
• Provide insight and advice on best practices in governance and risk management to help clients strengthen their overall control environment.

Team Leadership

• Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of multiple concurrent internal audit engagements, ensuring high-quality work and timely completion of projects.
• Manage and mentor a team of internal auditors, providing guidance, feedback, and support to foster professional growth and a collaborative, high-performance work environment.
• Work closely with Directors and Partners to align audit projects with client needs and business objectives, ensuring excellent client service delivery and satisfaction.

Proactive Collaboration

• Work proactively, managing tasks independently while actively collaborating with colleagues and key stakeholders to achieve audit objectives.
• Regularly communicate with client senior management and BDO leadership to identify opportunities for improving audit processes and expanding the value of our services.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

• Qualifications & Experience: Hold relevant qualifications such as ACA, ACCA, CIA, or equivalent, from a recognised institution with relevant experience in risk management, internal audit, and systems/controls testing.
• Practice and Industry Exposure: Extensive experience delivering internal audit and risk advisory services, including exposure to organisations in both the public and private sectors.
• Team Management: Proven track record of managing and inspiring high-performance audit teams (at least 4+ years in a leadership role).
• Technical Expertise: Deep understanding of governance, risk, and compliance best practices, with the ability to evaluate complex business processes and recommend improvements.
• Collaborative Skills: Ability to foster a collaborative team culture, ensuring effective communication and coordination with diverse cross-functional teams.
• Communication: Excellent communication and presentation skills, with experience reporting audit findings and recommendations to senior stakeholders in a clear and impactful manner.
• Insight & Awareness: Keen awareness of compliance, legislative, and market issues affecting clients’ businesses, and the ability to adapt audit approaches in response to emerging risks or changes in the environment.
