Our commitment to our employees & clients is at the heart of everything we do.Rabobank’s ANZ Internal Audit function is seeking an Internal Audit Manager for a 12-month fixed-term period. This role can be based in either Sydney or Wellington where our respective internal audit teams are based.Reporting directly to the Head of Audit Australia, this hands-on position requires you to leverage your proven internal audit experience to lead audits from the planning stage through to timely completion. While the role does not have direct reports, you will have the opportunity to utilise & guide Senior Internal Auditors as needed, providing coaching & support to ensure successful audit outcomes.Top Role Accountabilities:
- Manage the execution of allocated audits, ensuring effective resource allocation to meet time, budget, & quality objectives
- Oversee & coach Senior Auditors to assist in completing audits
- Develop strong relationships with management, senior management, & subject matter experts related to audits
- Ensure effective & timely communication to stakeholders regarding findings, risks recommendations & progress of assignments
- Support management in the process of analysing key risks & controls
- Review adequacy of action taken by management to correct reported control deficiencies
- Assist in preparing reports for Head Office, the Australian Board Audit Committee, the Senior Officer Outside Australia, & local regulators
To be successful in the role, you will have:
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in an Internal Audit role within Banking & Finance
- Member of an appropriate professional body – Institute of Chartered Accountants (CA), CPA Australia (CPA), Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA)
- In depth understanding of audit methodologies & requirements
- Good working knowledge of Australia & New Zealand regulatory requirements
- An ability to establish, maintain & build relationships within a team & with stakeholders
- An ability to communicate clearly & succinctly, verbally & in writing
- An ability to influence & persuade others
- An ability to analyse & solve problems
