Job description: A leading food retail, wholesale, and foodservice company is seeking an Internal Audit & Risk Business Partner to join its Internal Audit & Risk team. This role provides valuable insight into all aspects of the company’s operations and offers a strong foundation for long-term career growth within the organization.About the RoleReporting to the Head of Internal Audit & Risk, the successful candidate will support the delivery of independent assurance, advisory, and risk management services across the business.Key Responsibilities

• Conduct assurance reviews of operational and financial controls
• Evaluate and enhance the effectiveness of the control environment
• Develop value-adding solutions to address identified risks
• Prepare reports for senior review and engage with key stakeholders
• Monitor and provide assurance on remediation actions for risk management
• Support risk management initiatives and ad-hoc projects
• Build strong internal relationships to enhance collaboration and knowledge sharing

This role requires occasional travel across Ireland, Great Britain, and Spain to support audit activities and stakeholder engagement.Key RequirementsEssential:

• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in internal/external audit or internal controls
• Strong knowledge of risk, governance, and internal control best practices
• Analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving and organizational skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
• Fluent in English (written and verbal)
• Full driving license

Desirable:

• Professional qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CIA, etc.)
• Experience in Retail, Wholesale, or FMCG industries
• Knowledge of data analytics tools (e.g., Power BI)
• IT assurance or ESG/CSRD advisory experience
• Proficiency in Spanish (written and verbal)
