Metrolinx operates GO Transit and UP Express, as well as the PRESTO fare payment system. We are also building new and improved rapid transit, including GO Expansion, Light Rail Transit routes, and major expansions to Toronto’s subway system, to get people where they need to go, better, faster and easier. The Metrolinx Business Partnerships & Labour Relations team is on the lookout for a motivated new graduate to join us as an Intern, Business Partnerships & Labour Relations. Reporting directly to the VP of Business Partnerships & Labour Relations, you will play an integral role in supporting HR client services and Labour Relations initiatives. As Intern, Business Partnerships & Labour Relations, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with Strategic HR Business Partners, HR Generalists, and Labour Relations supporting HR initiatives, conduct research, and contribute to projects that enhance employee experience and workforce effectiveness.As Intern, Business Partnership & Labour Relations, you will take on a variety of responsibilities that provide learning opportunities supporting the Business Partnership, Employee & Labour Relations, and Workplace Harassment and Discrimination teams. In this role you will play a key part in supporting the client centric delivery of services across our client groups.The successful candidate has some experience in demonstrating their understanding of HR functions, employee relations and the general applications of the Employment Standards Act. They thrive as a self-starter who performs their best when challenged with new and diverse opportunities.What will I be doing?
