Job description: Our client is based in modern, purpose built offices in the heart of the Wellington CBD. After having a stable couple of years in terms of staff head count, they are now in a position to actively recruit, as a result of the work they have brought on over the last 6-12 months.This CA firm is seeking an Accountant with 2-6 years accounting experience, to join their growing team. This is a real chance to work with large clients across a variety of industries. The firm will enable you to advance your professional growth and are offering career progression.As an Intermediate – Senior Accountant, you’ll be responsible for managing a diverse portfolio of clients, preparing financial statements, tax returns, and other statutory reports. You’ll work closely with clients to provide tailored business advisory services. You’ll oversee the preparation and filing of GST, FBT, PAYE, and other IRD returns, and assist with budgeting, cash flow forecasting, and financial analysis. Additionally, you will mentor junior team members, contribute to internal process improvements, and liaise with clients to resolve complex issues. Your ability to manage multiple clients and projects while maintaining high standards of accuracy and timeliness will be key to your success in this role.It is vital that you have prior New Zealand accounting experience to be successful in this role. Ideally you will be working towards your CA or already have this completed.You will be joining a firm who pride themselves on excellence and are a top practice.
