Job #4813 – Are you available immediately to step into a director of finance position for a local non-profit organization? Our client is looking for someone for a 4-6 month contract opportunity. You will have a strong, progressive work history in the full cycle of accounting, including supervising and mentoring a small team. If you enjoy both hands-on accounting and presenting the financials to the management team, this role could be for you! Reporting to the CEO, the main responsibilities include:

• Oversee all financial activities
• Complete monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting
• Prepare remittances to government bodies
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting
• Present financials to the board of directors, finance committee and CEO
• Assist with strategic planning

Qualifications
Mandatory:
The main qualifications for this role include:

• Formal Accounting Education
• CPA designation is a strong asset
• Strong supervisory experience
• A minimum of 8 years of progressive accounting experience
• NFP experience is strongly desired

Compensation, Perks & Opportunities:

• $60 – $70 per hour (35 hour work week)
• Great work/life balance
• The preference is to be in the office full-time 5 days per week (hybrid could be discussed)
