A Glimpse into Your New RoleYou will work for a full-service legal provider to a number of motor vehicle, home, and property insurers. The work is across multiple jurisdictions in Australia, with the major focus on New South Wales, Victoria, and Queensland, and involves both defended and recovery matters.As Insurance Legal Clerk in our Insurance practice area. You will need to be available and able to work in the office full time Mondays through to Fridays. Core hours for this role are 8:30am to 5:30pm.Litigation experience will be looked upon favourably however is not essential as we are open to providing training for the successful applicant who possesses the required competencies, the right attitude and a good work ethic.As the newest addition to the insurance team, you will work with lawyers and assistant and enjoy a down to earth, professional but fun work environment.Day to Day Duties will include but are not limited to:

  • Preparation and filing of various Court documents
  • Drafting of correspondence to clients, other solicitors, court registries and other third parties
  • Interviewing witnesses and drafting statements
  • Maintenance of files and general administration duties

  • The ability to work well within a team as well as autonomously
  • First-rate attention to detail and communication skills (both oral and written)
  • Proficient knowledge of programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
