Job description: Our Federal Government client seeks an experienced and detail-oriented Information Management and Records Keeper. This is an immediate contract opportunity with an opportunity to continue the work in the next fiscal.This is an on-site role in the Tunney’s Pasture area of the NCR.Qualified candidates will be required to submit clearance, and references and certifications to be considered.Advantages
This position plays a critical role in planning, directing, and controlling our client’s information-based resources to align with organizational goals and deliver essential programs and services.Responsibilities
Oversee the management of information resources to meet organizational objectives.
Maintain, store, and preserve information in alignment with the Federal Government’s initiatives.
Ensure systematic control over the creation, receipt, maintenance, use, and disposition of records.
Capture and maintain evidence of activities and transactions in the form of records.
Collect, disseminate, and dispose of information in compliance with regulations and legal requirements.
Provide expert advice on Recordkeeping policies and their implementation.
Coordinate the management of information holdings and technology investments.
Establish and implement metadata guidelines according to standards.
Identify content management issues and recommend improvements to management.
Update senior management on changes to the Access to Information Act (ATIA) and modify processes accordingly.Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Information Management, Library Science, Records management or a related field.
Proven experience in information management, records keeping, and compliance with relevant policies.
Strong understanding of information storage technologies and metadata standards.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to communicate effectively with senior management and stakeholders.
Familiarity with the Access to Information Act (ATIA) and related legislation.
