Job description: Indirect Taxes Manager – EMEA/APACThe position will support all local compliance requirements related to indirect tax reporting for Speedcast group entities operating in the EMEA & APAC Regions. The role will report to the Group’s VP, Taxes with indirect management responsibilities for shared service personnel involved in VAT reporting.Responsibilities include:

• Management of shared service team personnel involved in compliance reporting cycles for indirect taxes of all entities in the EMEA/APAC Regions.
• Managerial oversight including administrative responsibilities for our intended implementation of VAT reporting software and its potential for expansion across multiple entities within the group
• Leading on indirect tax audit issues in conjunction with local advisors as appropriate.
• Assisting our contracts set up/ billing teams on VAT configurations matters within the Group’s ERP system and advising them generally on such matters.
• Advising the business generally on indirect tax issues relevant to new customer set ups, cross border goods and service flows.
• Investigating and analyzing VAT recovery issues including developing and advising alternative strategies to minimize any tax leakage.
• Generally providing hands-on support for ad hoc projects as required.

Qualifications:

• Degree in Accounting or Finance with a minimum of 1-3 years total related work experience.
• Demonstrable experience of basic VAT principles and issues preferably within the telecoms industry.
• Must be a team player who is detail-oriented, flexible and willing to work in a dynamic environment.
• Good organizational, communication, analytical, problem-solving, leadership and customer service skills are required.
• MS Office, Outlook, Word, Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills.

Preferred Additional Experience:

• Microsoft Navision.
• Use of any SaaS VAT reporting software solution.
• English speaking.
• Ability to prioritize work and handle multiple projects.
