Job description: The HR Officer will support the Head of HR in delivering professional HR services, focusing on non-academic employment practices, recruitment, compliance, and employee relations. This role requires a high level of initiative, empathy, and experience in HR to ensure best practices and regulatory compliance within the college community.

  • Assisting in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
  • Coordinating recruitment processes and on boarding new employees.
  • Managing employee records in line with privacy requirements.
  • Addressing HR-related inquiries and providing assistance to employees.
  • Facilitating employee development initiatives, including training and workshops.
  • Supporting the administration of the company’s compensation and benefits programmes.
  • Contributing to the improvement of HR procedures and systems.
  • Ensuring compliance with employment laws and regulations
  • Manage non-academic recruitment, including advertisements, interviews, and offers.
  • Conduct Right to Work checks and handle visa applications.
  • Maintain employee absence records and produce health and safety reports.
  • Lead annual reviews, probation, and induction processes.
  • Support training and development activities.
  • Maintain EDI records and support equality objectives.
  • Advise on employee relations matters.
