Job description: We are seeking a highly skilled Human Resources Business Partner to join our team on a short-term basis. This role is ideal for someone with State Government experience who can bring valuable expertise in handling complex HR matters.Key Responsibilities:
Provide expert HR advice and support to managers and employees on a range of employee relations issues, including misconduct, performance matters, and conflict resolution.
Lead investigations into allegations of employee misconduct, ensuring compliance with relevant policies, procedures, and legislation.
Manage performance management processes, including developing improvement plans, managing formal reviews, and implementing disciplinary actions when necessary.
Advise on best practices to mitigate workplace risks and enhance organisational performance.
Collaborate with leaders to drive a positive and productive workplace culture.
Ensure compliance with State Government HR policies, regulations, and legislative requirements.
Maintain and update employee records, ensuring all documentation is compliant with relevant policies and regulations.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
Proven experience in an HR Business Partner role, specifically with a focus on employee relations, misconduct investigations, and performance management.
Significant experience working in a state government environment.
A current and valid police check.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to handle sensitive issues with professionalism and confidentiality.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage complex HR matters with a solution-focused approach.
Solid knowledge of relevant state government HR policies, procedures, and legislation.
