Job description: We are seeking a highly skilled Human Resources Business Partner to join our team on a short-term basis. This role is ideal for someone with State Government experience who can bring valuable expertise in handling complex HR matters.Key Responsibilities:

• Provide expert HR advice and support to managers and employees on a range of employee relations issues, including misconduct, performance matters, and conflict resolution.
• Lead investigations into allegations of employee misconduct, ensuring compliance with relevant policies, procedures, and legislation.
• Manage performance management processes, including developing improvement plans, managing formal reviews, and implementing disciplinary actions when necessary.
• Advise on best practices to mitigate workplace risks and enhance organisational performance.
• Collaborate with leaders to drive a positive and productive workplace culture.
• Ensure compliance with State Government HR policies, regulations, and legislative requirements.
• Maintain and update employee records, ensuring all documentation is compliant with relevant policies and regulations.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

• Proven experience in an HR Business Partner role, specifically with a focus on employee relations, misconduct investigations, and performance management.
• Significant experience working in a state government environment.
• A current and valid police check.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to handle sensitive issues with professionalism and confidentiality.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage complex HR matters with a solution-focused approach.
• Solid knowledge of relevant state government HR policies, procedures, and legislation.
