Job description: Our client, a leader in the equipment rental industry has an immediate requirement for an experienced HR Business Partner to join their western Canadian team! This role is an eleven month maternity leave contract. The HRBP will provide subject matter expertise and support to leaders and team members in the areas of employee relations, performance and talent management, programs and policies, talent acquisition, as well as people development. This is a remote position, working as part of a collaborative team! Travel to various sites throughout the western territory is required.What our client can offer you:

  • Provide support and coaching to leaders on matters such as performance management, recruitment and selection, development opportunities, employee relations, etc.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to enhance the employee experience and partner with managers to develop and implement solutions
  • Overseeing HR program and policy creation and compliance to employment laws and regulations
  • Analyze HR trends and metrics to develop solutions, programs, and policies
  • Maintain a strong understanding of relevant provincial employment legislation to provide appropriate counsel to leaders as required
  • Manage employee relations and provide support to leadership in resolution of issues, including conducting investigations, coaching, counselling and recommendations on appropriate actions
  • Build a trusting and respectful relationship with team members to gather feedback and identify strengths and opportunities for improvement

Requirements:

  • Post-Secondary degree in Human Resources, or a minimum of 5 years experience as an HR Generalist
  • Completion of CHRP is an asset
  • Candidates must possess strong HR and business acumen demonstrated through progressive work experience
  • Exceptional written and verbal communications skills are required for success in this position
  • Candidates must have strong interpersonal and relationship building skills with the ability to work well with all levels in an organization
  • Must be self driven and able to work independently
  • Knowledge of Dayforce systems is an asset
