The branch is responsible for strategic and operational focussed HR advice and services to support business areas to meet their workforce needs.These roles are varied across teams, and we are looking for individuals with experience in human resources, service delivery, and policy development.Our teams are high performing and provide a range of services to support our people, including:

  • Managing team inbox and escalating medium to high complex enquiries to other team members
  • Providing timely, effective, and efficient HR support and advice to stakeholders in line with legislative and policy requirements.
  • Maintaining accurate HR data and HR records in a variety of different systems and data bases.
  • Supporting productive and effective working relationships with a range of stakeholders to support best practice service delivery.
  • Contributing to the development of team plans, strategies and goals.
  • Maintaining professionalism, independence and impartiality
  • Financial administrative tasks such as seeking approval for invoice payment and contract matching.
  • Identifying process improvements and writing standard operation procedures.
  • Staying up to date on HR policies and procedures.
  • Being resilient and work effectively and efficiently to achieve results.
  • Manage your time effectively to accomplish tasks and monitor priorities.

Responsibilities and duties will be performed in line with APS Work Level standards for the classification and function of each position.EligibilityTo be eligible for employment in the APS and the department, candidates must be Australian Citizens.Positions require a Baseline security clearance and successful candidates will be required to obtain and maintain a clearance at this level.NotesAn immediate vacancy sits within the Recruitment Team. A merit pool may be established and used to fill future vacancies within 18 months from the date the vacancy was first advertised in the Gazette.The department does currently offer flexible work opportunities for many roles.
