Job description: HR (Human Resources) Business PartnerPosition: HR Business PartnerLocation: Warrington & SurroundingType: Permanent/Full Time (Hybrid)Human Resources (HR) Business PartnerScope:The main function of this role is to lead on strategic delivery to the sector. This role partners with the Operations Director to devise, plan and deliver strategic people-focused projects with the aim of improving retention and growing the unit. The HRBP also oversees employee relations within the business unit.Duties:

  • Project Lead on projects pertaining to the strategic aims of the business unit.
  • Identify and execute remedial plans for ineffective or inefficient HR or management processes or in areas which require troubleshooting.
  • Investigate and solution new ideas to common people or management related problems.
  • Work closely with the Operations Director and his senior team, providing advice and counsel on talent, organisational design and development.
  • Own the talent and succession plan and annual cycle within the sector.
  • Execute the requirements of the employee lifecycle as pertains to the sector.
  • Collate monthly remuneration committee recommendations.
  • Monitor and report on monthly HR metrics, giving insight and visibility to the business leadership team.
  • Advise on the full remit of employee relations issues and processes with a practical and commercial approach, minimising risks and liabilities.
  • Create and conduct HR related training and development.
  • Support HR Shared Services
  • Any other operational HR matter specific to the sector, as arises.

Person Specification

  • Commercial and pragmatic: Able to assess a situation dynamically and take action to resolve it to the best outcome for the business.
  • Reliable and consistent: focused on absolute delivery in a fast paced and dynamic environment.
  • Data confident: Adept in collating and reviewing data to serve business insight.
  • Flexible: A smart attitude to work location. Willing to travel or not to travel as best suits the situation. (Some overnight stays may be required on occasions as will the requirement to work after hours on occasions).
  • Bold and creative: Unapologetic in identifying a problem and proposing a solution.
  • Natural networker: has the ability and resilience to break down siloes, sculpt strategic relationships and get stuff done in a complex matrix environment.
  • Expert communicator: Adept at clear, concise and polished written and verbal communication. Relating to both front line and executive roles with ease.

Qualifications/Experience

  • Significant and demonstrable experience in blue-collar employee relations across a regional or national portfolio, with full remit of issues.
  • Significant and demonstrable experience of TUPE
  • Significant and demonstrable experience of training design and delivery to blue-collar management.
  • Demonstrable impact of project delivery to improve HR metrics (e.g. turnover, absence)
  • Prior experience within a global matrix organisation preferred
  • Prior experience partnering a leadership team essential.
  • CIPD level 7 (MCIPD desirable).
