This position combines business partnering and operational functions and requires a solid working knowledge of a variety of HR processes.Medison is in an exciting phase in its business development, global expansion, and organizational transformation. Medison ANZ is looking for an HR Business Partner who can work and thrive in an environment that can be ambiguous at times, assist in structuring processes, and support the ANZ team and the APAC growing team as needed.This role is hybrid, based in Sydney and will require on-site presence in Chatswood.Responsibilities:
- Manage the overall ANZ HR activities by leading various HR functions to support the entire employee life cycle.
- Lead the ANZ performance management process by ensuring goals are cascading and in place for all employees, coordinate mid-year and year-end calibration meetings, and provide support and coaching for managers and employees.
- Enable a strong talent pipeline by working with management to identify and translate employee development needs into appropriate learning initiatives.
- Establish and work within annual HR budgets
- Lead employee issues as needed, including investigations, performance improvement plans, and terminations.
- Lead end-to-end recruitment activities, which include developing job postings, screening and interviewing candidates, as well as working with hiring managers and Total Rewards to negotiate candidate compensation
- Drive employee engagement by embedding Medison’s DNA.
- Work with managers to ensure all job descriptions are current.
- Liaise with the benefits provider, payroll provider, and Medison Finance to ensure seamless administration of ongoing compensation and benefits processes.
- Coordinate with employees, benefits providers, and payroll providers various leaves, including parental leaves, short-term and long-term disability leaves
- Ensure all HR policies comply with local legislation and update them as needed.
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in an HR Business Partner role working within a global matrix environment
- University degree or college diploma in Human Resources, general business, or social sciences
- CHRP or CHRL designation completed or currently in progress is an asset
- Strong knowledge of Australian employment legislation with the ability to interpret and synthesize into working policies.
- Hands-on experience with a broad range of HR functions, including leading the Talent Management, employee development, and performance management processes, as well as experience and understanding of end-to-end recruitment, compensation, benefits, and payroll administration, leave management and policy development.
- Ability to work well through ambiguity as well as simplify complex processes.
- Ability to successfully pivot from administrative to strategic functions as needed.
- Proficient in various online systems, including MS Office and various HRIS.
- Highly discreet, maintaining a professional level of confidentiality
- Proven ability to build and maintain strong and collaborative working relationships with internal and external business partners at various levels
- Previous experience within the biotech/pharmaceutical &/or healthcare industry essential
