You may review, modify, or update your information by visiting and logging into the careers section of the system.Job Description:At Regions, the Home Improvement Financing Lending Specialist is responsible for accepting and processing customer loan applications while maintaining a high level of customer service and accuracy in all job functions. The role also provides administrative support within the group and communicates professionally with external customers and internal partners.Regions Home Improvement Financing, a division of Regions Bank, engages in strategic partnerships with home-improvement manufacturers, distributors, franchisors, trade groups, and independent contractors to provide Point-of-Sale financing capabilities. This enables these partners to provide homeowners with an additional option to pay for various improvements to their homes, benefitting both the contractor partner and the homeowner.Primary Responsibilities

  • Handles customer phone calls and assists customers with financing home improvements
  • Adjusts existing applications as needed
  • Communicates application processes and provides approval or denial decisions to customers
  • Ensures company procedures are followed
  • Serves as a back up to preform administrative support functions
  • Prepares and composes letters and reports

This position requires the tracking of time and is eligible for overtime hours worked in excess of 40 per week under the Fair Labor Standards Act.Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED

Preferences

  • Professional work experience preferably in a financial institution

  • Ability to use good judgement in difficult situations
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and team environment
  • Demonstrated ability to follow direction and training procedures
  • Excellent computer skills, including general database applications and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent customer relation skills
  • Strong verbal, written communication, and organizational skills

Additional Job InformationThis position may be filled at a higher level depending on the candidate’s qualifications and relevant experience.Must be able to work a schedule between 6am-6pm, Monday – Friday.Specific hours will be discussed during the interview.Position Type Full timeCompensation DetailsPay ranges are job specific and are provided as a point-of-market reference for compensation decisions. Other factors which directly impact pay for individual associates include: experience, skills, knowledge, contribution, job location and, most importantly, performance in the job role.
