Responsibilities:
- Works and ensure all workers work in compliance with the Occupational Health & Safety Act, Regulations for Mines and Mining Plants and all other applicable government standards and regulations.
- Adheres to and enforces all safety and environmental considerations
- Adheres to and enforces the internal responsibility system and Five Point Safety System
- Ensures that any equipment deemed damaged or unsafe by virtue of a defect, or a machine of which any protection system is inoperative, is not used, and removed from operations until made safe
- Assist or participate in daily safety meeting (minimum 2 time per month)
- Follow-up on house keeping
- Load haul truck at the ore pad
- Drives equipment to and from work area
- Operate rock breaker
- Refuel, check coolant and engine hydraulic oils, lubricate all points and complete standard daily check forms
- Compile daily log book
- Maintains working area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition
- All other activities entrusted by the immediate supervisor
Requirements:
- Must have basic Mill common core modules completed
- Able to operate heavy mobile equipment
- Basic knowledge in mechanic and electricity to identify breakages or conditions needing to be corrected
- Possess a valid Canadian driver’s license and clear driver’s abstract
- A commitment to health, safety, environment, and community
- Works effectively, both independently and collaboratively
- Valid G class drivers’ licence and reliable transportation is required
- Physically fit and ability to lift 50lbs
Schedule: 7/7 rotation, 12-hour shifts (remote camp site with meals and accommodations provided)Pay Rate: $35.10 + travel based on kmsWe thank you for your interest.
