Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunityWe’re looking for a Health, Safety and Wellbeing Partner to champion high standards of health, safety and wellbeing across the Agency. In this role, you’ll provide expert advice, drive continuous improvement, and embed a proactive safety culture across varied operational environments.You will:

• Be the key contact for HSW across assigned groups and regions
• Support risk and control management, action plans, and incident investigations
• Implement HSW policies and standards
• Deliver monthly performance reports and trend analysis
• Engage with internal teams and external partners to strengthen HSW practices
• Promote wellbeing programmes and initiatives across the organisation
• Travel to project sites in your region to engage with local teams and be an advisor

• Subject matter expertise in Health, Safety and Wellbeing
• Experience with HSW management systems and safety investigations
• Experience in working with contractors and third parties
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
• Ability to present at leadership meetings and influence decision-making
• A tertiary qualification in Occupational Health & Safety or related discipline, or equivalent industry experience
• Diploma or Certification in Health and Safety (or working towards it)

You will demonstrate knowledge of, or a willingness to gain an understanding of Te Ao Māori and promote tikanga and Te Reo Māori. You will also have knowledge of, or a willingness to gain an appreciation of Te Tiriti o Waitangi (the Treaty of Waitangi) as it applies in the public service.Mō mātou | About UsPūmanawa Tāngata – People and Safety
