Tanami has been set up using industry leading technology, and Redpath have continued these standards with excavation of more than 1000m deep shafts.The HSEC Manager is responsible for the management, legal compliance, coordination, monitoring and implementation of all health, safety and environment requirements for the Tanami shaft.Key responsibilitiesIdentify improvements or updates for safety & training needs for all departmentsEnsure employees comply with Redpath’s management operation procedures (MOP’s)Maintain the training needs analysis for RedpathCoordinate all training for personnelEnsure training documentation for all personnel is filed and maintained correctlyEnsure all the project’s environmental requirements are metCoordinate and participate in Redpath’s workplace inspection schedule on site including tracking personnel participation levelsConduct rehabilitation and return to work coordinators duties on site including compiling documentation, managing injured workers, consulting with health professionalsConduct risk assessment and JSA trainingPrepare and conduct toolbox and safety meetingsAssist the operations with the risk management processes on site such as JSA’s and risk assessmentsConduct investigations for incidents as required on site and within designated time framesEnsure correct reporting of all reportable incidents that occur on site within designated time framesProvide advice to management of Workplace Health and Safety legislative requirementsAttend and contribute to safety, roster change, toolbox talks and staff meetingsAbout YouExperience in a Senior Safety professional role within the mining/construction industryCertificate IV in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalentCertificate IV in Training and Assessment (beneficial)Demonstrated people management experienceKnowledge of safety management and systematic approachCurrent knowledge of relevant Workplace Health and Safety and Workers’ Compensation legislationGood communication skills, both verbal and writtenSolid planning and organisational skills to schedule and allocate trainingAbility to problem solve and be adaptableAttention to detail ensuring all standards and compliance are metA drive for continuous improvement and innovationQualifications in Incident Cause Analysis Measures (ICAM) or equivalent highly desiredStrong computer skills including Microsoft Word and ExcelStrong customer relations and stakeholder management skillsIn return you can expectCareer path through internal promotionsCompetitive salary packageSalary Sacrifice for Superannuation and Novated car leasingDiscounted health insurance with BUPAAccess to a large range of staff benefitsEmployee Assistance (4 sessions per annum), well-being assistance that is free for all the familyApply NowRedpath is an equal opportunity employer that values diversity and an inclusive workplace.
