Job description: A leading construction group is seeking a highly experienced and strategic Head of Tax to lead and manage all tax-related matters across Australia and New Zealand.As the Head of Tax, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and delivering the organisation’s tax strategy, ensuring full compliance with tax regulations, and enabling sound, tax-informed business decisions across operations. You’ll be working in a complex, dynamic environment where your expertise will be valued and your leadership will make a real impact.On a day to day your role will include but is not limited to:Develop and implement a group-wide tax strategy aligned with corporate goals.Advise senior leaders on tax implications of M&A, restructures, and cross-border activities.Drive planning to optimise effective tax rates and cash flow outcomes.Ensure compliance with local and international frameworks (BEPS, Pillar 1 & 2, transfer pricing).Maintain tax risk frameworks and internal controls.Lead responses to audits and manage regulatory relationships.Report key tax matters to the Audit & Financial Risk Committee.Provide tax input into business planning, forecasting, and major projects.Promote tax awareness across the broader business.We are looking for:CA/CPA qualified with 8+ years of corporate tax experience in a large corporate or Big 4 setting.Experience of Australian and New Zealand tax legislation and international tax frameworks.Demonstrated experience in tax strategy and leadership across complex, geographically diverse operations.Exceptional communication, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.Interviews will be held early July.If this sounds like the next step in your career please click apply now or contact Amelia-Jane Hoffmann-Bryant for a confidential discussion on 021-981-823 or ameliajane@fluidrecruitment.co.nz
