We’re putting in place a fresh operating model for non-financial risk management across the Group, empowering our people to take end-to-end accountability for managing the risks that they face!This means we’re changing how we do risk management, creating a team of second line risk specialists, to provide support aligned to our first line risk owners and control owners to deliver great customer outcomes!We’re looking for a Head of Supplier Risk Management. Our external partnerships are essential to supporting Flutter’s transformation. It’s crucial that we understand the risks faced from our end-to-end supply chain as well as understanding those within the Group. In line with our purpose, our supply chain must be equally as focussed on delivering good consumer outcomes and maintaining operational resilience.You’ll lead and develop a talented team and support robust risk management in alignment with the Group’s Enterprise Risk Management Framework. You’ll provide thought leadership, insight and oversight on behalf of the Global Procurement team in relation to internal and external service provision, including the end-to-end supply chain and lead the approach to implement risk policies, appetite, and control objectives that enable the delivery of customer, regulatory and business strategic outcomes.The Head of Supplier Risk Management role will involve:Risk Management Strategy & Process Development:

  • Collaborate with business and functional stakeholders to define supplier risk management screening criteria.
  • Design, roll out, and manage a global process for supplier onboarding, screening, and risk management.
  • Build a quick, efficient, and scalable process that also thoroughly protects the company from supply chain risks.
  • Lead initiatives to streamline risk management processes while maintaining rigorous supplier oversight and controls.

Third-Party Risk Management (TPRM) System & Technology:

  • Configure and roll-out ongoing updates to our TPRM IT system, Coupa, including responsibility for training, change management, and system integration.

Risk Monitoring & Reporting:

  • Monitor and report on TPRM Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), with a focus on compliance and continuous improvement.
  • Manage risk across the supply chain by developing strategies for assessing and mitigating risks with key suppliers and vendors.

Team Leadership:

  • Lead and manage a team that provides operational and administrative support to internal users and suppliers.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Collaborate with global teams to ensure the alignment of TPRM policies with regional requirements and corporate risk appetite.
  • Work with stakeholders to ensure compliance with supplier risk management frameworks and standards.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • To act as an expert and advisor across all areas of supplier related risk.
  • To develop and help other members of the Procurement department, as required.
  • To influence our supplier risk management approach and strategy; driving the delivery of our responsible business commitments and supplier standards.
  • To provide best practice guidance and support to all global offices to enable the effective oversight and management of key suppliers.
  • To review the tiering level of our suppliers on an annual basis to ensure an appropriate level of oversight and management is applied, including on-going assurance activities for high-risk suppliers.
  • To identify and maintain an inventory of our critical and important supplier relationships.
  • To ensure appropriate controls are in place to support compliance with the minimum standards outlined in the Supplier Management Framework, Procurement, Finance and Professional Standards & Risk Management policies, including on-going monitoring and reporting.
  • To maintain and manage our Supplier Risk Management Standard Operating Procedures documents, including any updates/ amendments, as appropriate.
  • To review and maintain our suite of tools, templates and guidance and ensure they’re reviewed, as a minimum, on an annual basis working with the Head of Sustainability.
  • To work with the Procurement Operations Team to report non-compliance with SRM Framework minimum standards and processes, including working with Contract Managers, Suppliers and Sourcing Team to reduce percentage of non-compliance over time.
  • To leverage data analytics to identify opportunities to drive greater value -consider reporting and data to drive the right behaviours, including supplier risk management and sustainability reporting.
  • To monitor adherence of key suppliers to our Supplier Code of Conduct and Supplier Standards, including, but not limited to, the oversight and management of our annual supplier code declaration exercise, working closely with the Sustainable Procurement Manager.
  • To manage and resolve any ad-hoc user queries on key supplier management topics, e.g., service improvement planning, exit management, etc.
  • To provide visibility of the financial stability of our key suppliers, sharing financial reporting information with Sourcing Managers, as appropriate, to inform decision making and next steps.
  • To provide training and upskill as part of the SRM Learning Programme to contract managers and owners, including tailored guidance for each region / office to ensure the commitments we’ve made (client, legal, regulatory, and voluntary) are addressed and reported on.
  • To stay abreast of external market best practice regarding supplier risk management and assurance, maintaining and sharing thought leadership.
  • To lead initiatives to ensure growing compliance and adherence to the firm’s global procurement policies.
  • Leads continuous review and enhancement of risk policies & appetite through the identification & assessment of emerging & growing risks, ensure policies and appetite reflect new opportunities or threats.
  • Interprets new operational risk regulation and emerging technology opportunities and threats accurately and adeptly.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business, risk management, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • 8+ years of experience in supplier risk management, procurement, supply chain, or related areas.
  • Proven experience in global risk management or TPRM processes.
  • Strong knowledge of risk management frameworks, including supplier onboarding and screening methodologies.
  • Expertise in selecting and implementing TPRM technology platforms, with experience in training and change management.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Analytical and process-oriented, with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Experience with regulatory compliance and supplier risk frameworks (e.g., ISO 31000, NIST).
  • Familiarity with risk management software and systems (e.g. Coupa, or similar platforms).
  • Experience working in a global organisation, with cross-cultural and cross-regional collaboration.
  • Travel required is expected to be up to 15% but may increase over time as the business evolves.
