LocationPlease note although listed as London, this is a global role, and could sit in the Nordics, Lux, Ireland, or be US/Caribbean based.Job DescriptionMain ResponsibilitiesStrategy

  • Support the definition of Capital Markets strategy & lead the development and execution of strategic initiatives
  • Support the Global Head of CM with “strategic analysis” of key value drivers and identify/challenge on opportunities for improving strategic position or operational performance of the business
  • Stay abreast of external factors like market trends, competitors’ position, regulatory changes or other factors that impact the business and competitive environment for CM
  • Lead or support the Global Head of CM on M&A and/or new business initiatives globally or within specific geographies

Business Implementation

  • Provide guidance and direction to local Heads on implementing operational or commercial changes to support the strategic objectives
  • Support day-to-day operations of the business as agreed with the Global Head of CM
  • Collaborate across service lines and functions to drive synergies or coordinate strategic initiatives

Strategic Partner & Member of the Capital Markets Leadership team

  • Be a strategic partner to the Global Head of CM and local Heads of geographies on key business initiatives as needed
  • Challenge the Leadership group on drivers of revenue growth, margin improvement, cost base or other structural, organizational issues impacting the performance of the business

QualificationsKnowledge, Skills & ExperienceStrong leader with 10+ years experience in strategic and transformational roles working for growing organisations

  • Strategic planning skills: Expertise in strategic planning and execution. Ability to analyze market trends and opportunities. Strong analytical and critical thinking skills. Ability to think strategically and execute rapidly.
  • Experience in and knowledge of Capital Markets sector either in consulting capacity and/or working in industry
  • Background in managing organisational transformations, complex programmes and/or change initiatives
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the organization and externally.
  • Experience in a leadership or managerial role, leading cross-functional teams (desirable)
  • Both consulting and industry experience (desirable)
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
