To put it simply, we want our people to thrive and love the work they do.About the JobAs a senior leader within Rest’s member division, your role as the Head of Relationship Management – North will involve overseeing the strategic direction and operational management of the Northern Relationships Management team.You will work closely with the Head of Relationship Management – South to support Rest’s efforts in retaining and expanding our existing client portfolio by delivering world-class, strategic account management services to employers and members.Your exceptional leadership skills will ensure team members consistently exceed client expectations, foster positive word-of-mouth, and increase referrals.Reporting to the General Manager of Workplace Super, you will be a crucial ambassador for Rest in the external market.At Rest, our purpose is to create super that our members love, and our mission is to make super simple. - Lead the Account Management team (Northen) in cultivating strong relationships with key employers and stakeholders. This includes positioning Rest’s products and services to deepen relationships, enhance member retention, increase awareness of Rest’s offerings, and expand market share.
- Lead the Relationship Management Team (Northern) in building strong relationships with key employers and stakeholders to promote Rest’s products and services, deepen relationships, enhance member retention, increase awareness of Rest’s offerings, and expand market share.
- Develop and execute go-to-market strategies to ensure the successful adoption of Rest’s products and services while maintaining high client satisfaction.
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of our employer client portfolio to support employer retention and consistently executing opportunities.
- Establish strong, long-term commercial relationships with our existing employers at the Executive level while identifying and pursuing new business development opportunities within the portfolio.
- Advocate for the voice of the customer (employer and member via an employer) within Rest and contribute to shaping employer and member value propositions that exceed expectations.
- Design and implement client strategies to optimise member engagement and meet MBFI obligations.
- Deliver engaging presentations and seminars to diverse audiences in person and virtually.
- Empower the team to drive continuous improvement initiatives and system adoption, optimising strategic outcomes and enhancing the employer experience.
- Promote the use of customer relationship management (CRM) systems and facilitate seamless transitions to new or related systems.
- Lead and inspire the team, fostering a culture aligned with Rest’s values while promoting engagement and capability development.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure coordinated service delivery and alignment with strategic objectives.
- Drive a high-performance culture to ensure consistent achievement of team and individual key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Stay current on the workplace superannuation landscape and collaborate with the Member Team to develop strategies that meet or exceed market standards.
- Contribute to the broader Workplace Super leadership team by sharing market insights and leveraging data analytics to identify growth and innovation opportunities.
- Report on overall business performance regularly and represent the team in internal Senior Leadership Team (SLT) or Executive Leadership Team (ELT) forums as required.

- Significant experience in a similar role with financial services
- A Diploma in Financial Planning or relevant Tertiary qualifications
- RG146
- Proven leadership experience in effectively managing and developing teams of financial services professionals, ideally within the superannuation sector, with a track record of driving performance and fostering a positive team culture.
- Extensive experience building and nurturing strong relationships with key stakeholders in the workplace superannuation industry, fostering trust and collaboration.
- Demonstrated success in driving strategic business growth and revenue generation within the superannuation sector, and demonstrated achievements surpassing targets.
- Advanced ability to leverage advanced analytical skills to identify growth opportunities, market trends, and actionable insights, driving strategic decision-making and business success.
- Proven ability to effectively engage and support employers within the superannuation landscape, understanding their unique needs and driving mutually beneficial outcomes.
- Advanced proficiency in relationship management or education delivery within the superannuation or group insurance sector, with a focus on delivering exceptional client service and value.
- Expertise in extracting and interpreting meaningful insights from complex data sets, translating findings into clear and actionable recommendations to drive business growth.
- In-depth understanding of superannuation industry regulations, compliance requirements, and best practices, ensuring adherence and mitigating risk.
- Advanced ability to engage and influence stakeholders at an executive level, effectively communicating ideas, strategies, and recommendations to drive alignment and achieve organisational objectives.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts and ideas clearly and persuasively to internal and external stakeholders.
- An in-depth understanding of financial services principles and specific knowledge of superannuation products, services, and market dynamics enable informed decision-making and strategic planning.
- High familiarity with superannuation fund administration processes and systems, facilitating effective organisational leadership and decision-making.
