Last Date to Apply: 15 April 2025What is the Head of Procurement and Supply Chain Management at Deodar?The Head of Procurement and Supply Chain Management (Deodar) leads the end-to-end procurement and supply chain function, covering strategic sourcing, contract management, procurement performance, and governance. This role focuses on procuring tower infrastructure, technical equipment, energy solutions, and other operational categories essential for Deodar TowerCo’s business. It requires strategic leadership, robust negotiation skills, vendor management expertise, and a comprehensive understanding of procurement processes and governance frameworks. The position currently reports directly to the CEO Deodar and will oversees a team of category managers, contract managers, and procurement excellence professionals.What does the Head of Procurement and Supply Chain Management – Deodar do?Strategic Procurement Leadership· Lead procurement for tower infrastructure, energy solutions, technical equipment, and other key categories, ensuring alignment with business objectives and financial targets.· Develop and implement a Procurement Master Plan tailored to Deodar’s operational needs.· Conduct procurement diagnostics and create category strategies to drive efficiency, cost optimization, and service reliability.· Oversee supplier segmentation, market analysis, and sourcing strategies to maintain competitive procurement practices.Vendor Management & Contracting· Establish and nurture strategic relationships with global and local suppliers to ensure quality, compliance, and cost-efficiency.· Lead contractual negotiations, including the drafting, reviewing, and finalizing of contracts, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and risk mitigation.· Manage claims processes, including dispute resolution, counterclaims, and supplier performance accountability.· Ensure the development and enforcement of standardized contract templates and governance frameworks.Procurement Excellence & Governance· Implement best practices in procurement governance to ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal policies.· Oversee procurement reporting, key performance indicators (KPIs), and performance reviews across all categories.· Drive automation and the use of digital procurement tools for spend analytics, supplier performance tracking, and procurement transparency.· Establish a Supplier Management Program to evaluate and improve supplier performance and foster long-term partnerships.Financial Management & Savings Delivery· Develop and execute cost-saving strategies, including bulk purchasing agreements, frame contracts, and strategic negotiations.· Deliver on agreed savings targets and provide transparent reporting on cost efficiencies achieved.· Conduct thorough budget analysis, spending reviews, and market research to ensure financial discipline.Cross Functional Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement· Act as a trusted advisor to senior management on procurement strategies and supply chain optimization.· Foster collaboration with internal departments to align procurement processes with operational goals and service delivery.· Implement customer-centric sourcing strategies to enhance service levels and meet the needs of internal stakeholders.RequirementsWhat are we looking for and what does it require to be Head of Procurement & Supply Chain Management at Deodar?Education & Experience· MBA/Bachelor’s/Master’s in Supply Chain, Business, Law, Engineering, or a related field.· Minimum 10+ years of experience in Procurement and Supply Chain Management, with a focus on tower infrastructure, energy solutions, and technical equipment.Skills & Competencies· Proven expertise in contract negotiations, supplier management, and claims management.· Deep knowledge of procurement governance frameworks and regulatory compliance, particularly in telecom infrastructure.· Experience with procurement automation tools and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems such as Oracle Fusion, SAP Ariba, and Power BI.· Strong analytical, data modeling, and financial acumen.· Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and cross-functional collaboration skills.· Ability to drive change, innovation, and operational excellence.· Exceptional communication skills and the ability to manage complex procurement projects independently.BenefitsWhy Join Jazz?As one of the leading employers in the country, Jazz epitomizes the philosophy that each Jazz employee is passionately living a better every day inspired and enabled by visionary leadership, a unique professional culture, a flourishing lifestyle, and continuous learning and development.Our core values include qualities essential for a positive organizational culture – truthfully guiding entrepreneurial and innovative mindsets, harnessing professional and interpersonal collaboration, and fostering across-the-board customer-obsession.As one of the largest private sector organizations in Pakistan, our objective is to continue to change the lives of our 70 million customers for the better.
