The project:A major urban development project comprising of new homes, commercial properties, public spaces and smart urban mobility. Mace have the opportunity to develop and lead and implement the PMO structure to deliver this city development.Supports the development and collaboration of organisational, team and individual effectiveness in major project and programme teams.Delivers organisation development (OD) service deliverables for allocated projects and programmes, adapting to suit the scale and complexity.Your responsibilities will include:Supports the bidding process, ensuring OD methodology is embedded into bid and mobilisation plans.Creates and prepares pre-mobilisation and mobilisation plans for the projects/programmes as required, in advance of contract award.Proactively builds relationships with project/programme senior leadership teams, to understand their challenges and concerns related to organisational effectiveness and/or team collaboration, working with them to guide and steer the agenda.Identifies and measures team performance maturity/organisational effectiveness maturity, sharing progress and concerns with the project leadership, creates action plans to maintain and increase maturity/effectiveness.Develops and adapts a programme of work for client organisation and/or programme team to support. maturity/effectiveness/collaborative behaviour, provides expert discipline advice and counsel.Builds the capability of leaders and their teams through coaching, facilitation and/or targeted organisational effectiveness improvement solutions.Manages and drives the programme of work, with external providers, to ensure targeted interventions with maximum impact.Works with leads and the internal communication resource for the project/programme (where they are in place) to ensure OD work aligns with project policies and is consistent with and embedded through communications.Works collaboratively towards the common goal of net zero carbon transition and share responsibility for the proactive identification and management of the associated carbon emissions and reductions during the delivery of work.You’ll need to have:Relevant degree qualification.Proven experience working on city development, programme, projects.Knowledge transfer and mentoring experience.You’ll also have:Professional membership or working towards demonstrable professional or personal development.Strong competence and proven ability in developing leadership, management capability and/or organisational effectiveness.Experience in the successful delivery phase of relevant projects and programmes.Programme management expertise.Strong commercial and financial acumen.Leadership and management experience of large, diverse teams.Experience of managing relationships with key senior stakeholders.Knowledge of how carbon and sustainability considerations will shape the outlook of the projects you are working on.Mace is an inclusive employer and welcomes interest from a diverse range of candidates.#LI-OnsiteQualifications.
