We are seeking a strategic and execution-oriented professional to lead our Government & Government Linked Companies (GLCs) Vendor Financing vertical. This role will play a critical part in expanding Funding Societies’ presence within the public procurement ecosystem by embedding financing into national and GLC supply chains.The successful candidate will not only drive partnerships with government and government-linked companies (GLCs), but also strategize direct SME outreach and acquisitions.What you will do:
- Define and execute the go-to-market strategy for government / GLC vendor financing
- Identify and engage anchor clients (ministries, agencies, GLCs) to co-create financing programs targeting their vendor bases.
- Structure long-term partnerships and vendor programs that enable trusted and repeat SME onboarding.
- Conduct vendor workshops and clinics to drive adoption and educate SMEs on financing benefits.
- Represent Funding Societies in national forums, procurement dialogues, and industry consultations to influence vendor financing policies.
- Partner with Credit, Product, Legal, and Risk teams to shape financing models aligned with the needs of public / GLCs procurement vendors.
- Develop and own sales forecast, budget, and manpower plans; and focus on executing key growth sales strategies, tactics and action plans required to achieve revenue, market share and sales targets.
- Maintain strong knowledge of the competitive market landscape, customer behaviors and expansion opportunities.
- Support recovery and collection strategy
- Drive continuous improvement in cost, quality and time cycles across all aspects of sales acquisition.
- Ensure regulatory compliance standards are adhered to and that regulatory information is transferred appropriately to the local staff and the corporate compliance team.
Requirements:What we are looking for:Experience & Background:
- 5-10 years of experience in Government & Government Linked Companies (GLCs) Vendor Financing
- Proven ability to lead institutional partnerships, ideally with ministries, agencies, or procurement-heavy GLCs.
- Understanding of public procurement systems (ePerolehan) and vendor development programs in Malaysia.
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong strategic thinking combined with executional drive.
- Exceptional relationship management and stakeholder engagement skills, especially in public-private contexts.
- Comfortable with data, program metrics, and ecosystem-based acquisition models.
- Familiarity with credit structuring, vendor lifecycle challenges, and SME financing constraints.
