As one of New Zealand’s largest and most loved organisations, we are committed to working every day to make ASB a better and more sustainable company and helping our customers and community partners to do the same.Mo te tūranga | About the Role:Reporting to the GM Financial Information & Tax, lead the climate and sustainability reporting team to develop compliant and high-quality climate and sustainability reports for ASB and ASB Group Investments.This role is responsible for driving the completion of the climate reporting process to address regulatory requirements while managing a wide range of stakeholders including Boards and Executives.You will be a part of the Financial Information and Tax leadership team, responsible for executing on finance strategy, developing and leading a highly engaged team, appropriately managing risks and leading the uplift of processes and data in the climate reporting area.Ngā mea kia whai angitū ahau? | What do I need to be successful?Seeking a strong leader with a track record in leading and nurturing high-performing teams. Essential qualities include a curious mindset, keen attention to detail, and adeptness in managing competing priorities to meet tight deadlines.The role involves spearheading accurate and insightful climate awareness and disclosure initiatives throughout our organization:

• Minimum 10 years prior experience in banking, insurance or other financial institutions.
• Chartered Accountant (CA) or equivalent
• Experience in agile methodologies is a plus.
• Sound understanding of climate reporting and accounting practices and concepts including awareness of key climate, accounting, regulatory and banking related financial standards and regulations.
• Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.
• Detailed understanding of banking operations including banking products, associated control environments and financial processes.
