Job description: The Cultural and Creative Industries Development Agency (CCIDA)Salary: $127,700 per monthEntry Requirements:Candidate should have:(a) a bachelor’s degree from a university in Hong Kong, or equivalent;
(b) attained Level 3 or above in both Chinese Language and English Language in the Hong Kong Certificate of Education Examination (HKCEE) or the Hong Kong Diploma of Secondary Education Examination (HKDSEE), or equivalent results ;
(c) a minimum of 15 years of post-qualification full-time work experience in cultural and/or creative industries, with at least 10 years at managerial level or above;
(d) broad knowledge of, and solid experience and extensive networks in cultural and/or creative sectors, especially fashion and clothing industry, and/or design sector;
(e) strong leadership and management capabilities as well as good interpersonal and communication skills to connect with private associations/companies, government authorities and non-governmental organisations local and abroad to cultivate and promote the cultural and creative sectors;
(f) good command of written Chinese and English, and fluency in spoken Cantonese, Putonghua and English; and
(g) strong problem-solving, analytical, organising, communication and management skills, and the ability to work independently.[Note: For non-civil service appointment purpose, ‘Grade C’ in Chinese Language and English Language (Syllabus B) in the HKCEE before 2007 are accepted administratively as comparable to ‘Level 3’ in Chinese Language and English Language in the 2007 HKCEE and henceforth.]Duties:(a) To assist the Commissioner and Assistant Commissioner for Cultural and Creative Industries Development in formulating and implementing policies and strategies to provide trade facilitation support for the design sector;
(b) To network with creative establishments, professional associations, players and other stakeholders of the design sector, and government authorities and non-governmental organisations, and to steer them for presenting/organising projects conducive to the promotion of the creative sector concerned;
(c) To drive delegations and overseas exhibitions to explore the Mainland and overseas markets to cultivate and promote the design sector in Hong Kong;
(d) To oversee the provision of advice to project organisers in the design sector on the directions and matters related to CreateSmart Initiative funding applications;
(e) To co-ordinate the planning and organisation of major events and activities including the Hong Kong Fashion Fest; and
(f) To supervise the Trade Facilitation Unit and manage the resources allocated to the Unit.Note:
(1) Subject to the exigency of services, the appointee may be required to work irregular hours and overtime, including Saturday, Sunday and Public Holiday.
(2) Shortlisted candidates will be required to attend a written test and / or an interview.Terms of Appointment: Successful candidate will be employed on non-civil service contract terms for 12 months.Fringe Benefits A gratuity may be granted at the end of contract period if the contract is satisfactorily completed with consistently high standard of performance and conduct. Such gratuity, if granted, plus any contribution made by the Government to a Mandatory Provident Fund (MPF) Scheme in respect of the appointee as required by the MPF Ordinance (Cap. 485), will be equal to 15% of the total basic salary received during the contract period.
