For our customers, we need to remain committed to being strategic partners, global connectors, and innovative problem solvers to help businesses and economies grow.We are currently seeking an experienced individual to join this team in the role of Product Manager, Strategic Initiatives.This role supports the tracking and analysis of performance across GTS products and support the overall process of annual investment and GTS product planning. It contributes to data integrity, priorities management, and performance across global.In this role, you will:

  • Maintain key product performance dashboards and reporting packs.
  • Support ad-hoc analysis to inform product strategy, pricing, and revenue planning.
  • Work with Finance and Product teams to validate P&L and asset tracking.
  • Track realisation of benefits associated with the delivery of GTS business strategy, ensuring adherence to financial targets and product specific objectives.
  • Have provision of regular updates and reports on financial performance, working with key markets to highlight key change drivers and recommended corrective actions as necessary.
  • Facilitate and support senior management decision making and strategic prioritisation of different investment by use of performance information, analytics, forums, stakeholder feedback and HSBC strategy.
  • Coordinate papers/presentations requested by GTS teams, Global Businesses or Functions and regional/ country stakeholders.
  • Identify and deliver product improvements to support the ambition to become simpler and more agile.
  • Establish ways of working with Finance partners to ensure appropriate interlocks for product FRP and target delivery.
  • Support the creation of GTS Strategic plans for 3 and 5 years and provide feedback to country strategy.
  • Coordinate with country teams to consolidate product metrics globally.
  • Assist in preparing monthly product performance summaries for ExCo.
  • Support the creation of Product Centre of Excellence.

To be successful in this role you should meet the following requirements:

  • Understanding of trade finance solutions.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills with a proven ability to communicate and influence effectively and confidently at all levels internally and externally
  • Well-developed management skills, with experience in team building and managing a wide range of projects.
  • Proactive attitude, keen to learn and flexibility to adapt for business requirements
  • Excellent written and oral communication; ability to articulate and detail, if necessary, issues to all levels
  • Ability to work and motivate coverage and other GTS areas, employing appropriate management styles to drive results following HSBC frameworks
  • Strong Excel, Power point or equivalent analytical tool experience
  • Understanding of P&L and trade finance performance drivers
  • Attention to accuracy, process rigour, and timeline management
