Job description: Large PE backed service provider looking for a technically gifted (ideally practice trained) accountant to bolster the technical competence of the finance function.Ideal role for an Audit Manager / Assistant Manager looking at their 1st industry move OR an existing Financial Accountant looking for their 2nd move.Key Responsibilities

• Deliver technical accounting guidance across the Group, including areas such as acquisitions, provisioning, and asset capitalisation.
• Assist in compiling the monthly Group consolidation and supporting materials for Board reporting.
• Conduct comprehensive monthly balance sheet reviews and work with relevant teams to address any discrepancies or concerns.
• Ensure all monthly reporting deadlines are met, maintaining a consistently high level of accuracy and compliance.
• Oversee the preparation of statutory financial statements for each Group entity.
• Coordinate with external auditors, providing information and addressing inquiries to support efficient audit completion for both the Group and its subsidiaries.

About You

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or equivalent) with solid post-qualification experience.
• Strong technical accounting knowledge, ideally with exposure to consolidation, statutory reporting, and audit.
• Proven experience in a group finance or multi-entity environment.
• Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Effective communicator and collaborator, with the ability to work across departments and geographies.
• Proactive, hands-on, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Play an active role in onboarding newly acquired or existing divisions onto the Group’s reporting and ERP platforms.
• Serve as a primary point of contact for accounting-related technical queries across the organisation.
• Support a variety of ad hoc financial initiatives and projects as business needs evolve.

Salary

• £55,000 – £60,000
• Hybrid working
• On-site Parking
• Runway to Financial Controller role
