Its other companies include FIJI Water, JUSTIN and Landmark Vineyards, Wonderful Citrus, Wonderful Pistachios, Teleflora, POM Wonderful and Suterra.Job DescriptionWe’re on the lookout for a Group Finance Manager – Shipping Principal to play a critical role in the senior Neptune Finance Team. In this high-impact position, you’ll take full ownership of the NPDL Shipping Principal’s financial results, overseeing detailed balance sheet reconciliations and ensuring accurate, timely consolidated reporting for the NPDL Group. You’ll lead the coordination of the US GAAP Group Audit for the Shipping Principal, partnering closely with the global audit team to meet strict deadlines and compliance standards. You’ll also collaborate with NPDL Finance and Global Tax to ensure statutory and fiscal obligations across the region are met with precision. Working hand-in-hand with the central finance team, you’ll help optimise the group’s financing and liquidity structure to support both operational and corporate needs. With multiple finance systems in play during our transition to a global platform, you’ll bring a best-practice mindset to financial reporting and help embed a culture of strong financial control across the organisation.Here’s what you will be doing:
- Lead the monthly delivery of accurate financial reporting for Neptune Principals, ensuring all data is supported with comprehensive schedules and submitted on time.
- Partner with Central Neptune Finance to meet all corporate reporting requirements-locally and group-wide-with precision and efficiency.
- Drive successful audits for Neptune Principals, ensuring all statutory obligations are met accurately and within deadline.
- Collaborate with the Group Finance Manager – Systems Integration to champion system improvements and elevate the functionality of Principals Accounting.
- Support local Neptune Agency accounting teams in implementing best-in-class policies, processes, and financial controls across the organisation.
- Provide timely and accurate month-end shipping accruals to support the FP&A team’s financial analysis and decision-making.
- Manage the Principal’s fixed asset register and lease accounting to ensure compliance and accuracy.
- Take on additional responsibilities as needed-your adaptability and initiative will make a real impact.
QualificationsHere’s what you’ll bring to the table:Qualified Expertise:
- Chartered Accountant with deep technical knowledge of IFRS and US GAAP
- Big 4 background a bonus, bringing added rigour and best-practice insight
Global Financial Acumen:
- 5+ years of hands-on financial reporting experience in fast-paced corporate or professional services environments
- 3+ years in international finance, with working knowledge of tax, treasury, and shared service models
- Proven success navigating complex audits, including US GAAP group audits and local statutory requirements
Systems & Tools Proficiency:
- Confident user of CargoWise Finance and highly desirable experience with Oracle Fusion Financials
- Skilled in budgeting, forecasting, and leveraging data for meaningful business partnering
Leadership & Collaboration:
- Proven ability to lead a team
- Experience working across culturally diverse and geographically dispersed teams
- Ability to build strong cross-functional relationships and deliver accurate information under pressure
- Proven problem-solver with a continuous improvement mindset who leads by example
Communication & Influence:
- Strong communicator with excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to clearly communicate finance policies and embed a robust financial control culture across teams
Added Advantage:
- Experience implementing IFRS 15, 16, and 9
- Willingness to travel across the South Pacific as needed
