Vestas Global Procurement is responsible for all strategic procurement activities within Vestas, including negotiations, contract management, cost out initiatives, leading cross functional teams, strategy development, and supplier relationship management.
The position as Global Strategic Purchaser in Electrical will give you a great opportunity to develop your procurement profile and join a team of experienced commodity leads and specialists. The position is in Aarhus, Denmark, where you are surrounded by energetic and professional colleagues. You will also work closely with colleagues in Porto, Tianjin, and Chennai.Responsibilities

• The Global Strategic Purchaser role is within the Control Hardware procurement team
• Handle the daily management of procurement activities related to parts of the Control Hardware areas. You will have a great opportunity to contribute to the strategic agenda and be part of daily significant strategic decision within the areas
• Participation in supplier selection, qualification, negotiation and contracting
• Supplier relationship management, including risk management, supplier account plans, and performance management
• Participation in strategy and roadmap development
• Being procurement lead on cross functional projects and cost out initiatives
• Participating in new product introduction and ensure procurement deliverables
• Initiating RFIs/RFQs with new and current suppliers to ensure supply chain optimization based on total landed cost and ensuring contract management of NDAs, Purchase Agreements, Price Agreements, etc.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree within a relevant area or bachelor’s degree with similar working experience
• Great communication skills and experience with stakeholder management
• You are a skilled user of:

– Microsoft Office (Word/PowerPoint/Excel)
– SAP and SAP ARIBA is welcomed
– As our corporate language is English, fluency in English is required, both verbally and in writingCompetencies

• You are highly motivated to take initiative, motivate progress and have a natural curiosity
• Team oriented and values formal and informal engagement with your colleagues
• An open approach to encourage stakeholder inputs and a structured and fact-based approach to secure ideas are prioritized and implemented
• Focused and committed to secure the correct effective implementation of the initiatives you lead
• Holistic and positive mindset: you can see the big picture from Vestas’s product offerings towards customers and the ability to connect these to procurement initiatives and how they can positively impact Vestas’ sales and cost out programs
• Efficient analytical skills with a natural motivation for detailed analysis
