Job description: What you will enjoy doing

  • As a Global Strategic Procurement Manager, you report directly to the Head of Global Procurement PET and assist in developing and implementing a global procurement strategy for ALPLA
  • Your responsibilities include controlling and optimizing the supply chain management, such as purchasing conditions, procurement processes, and logistics efficiency
  • You are also responsible for building and maintaining supplier relationships and providing support to international locations
  • Additionally, you observe and analyze international procurement markets and explore alternative sources of supply
  • Ensuring smooth material supply, monitoring contract quantities, and determining requirements in collaboration with various locations are also part of your duties
  • Lastly, you lead central price and contract negotiations

What makes you great

  • Completed degree in the field of Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a comparable qualification
  • Several years of professional experience in international strategic procurement and dealing with global suppliers
  • Excellent knowledge in contract negotiations, procurement strategies and processes, as well as in creating procurement analyses and concepts
  • Strong teamwork, self-reliance, flexibility, dedication, and effective communication skills at all levels within the organization
  • Based in Europe or the UK, with a hybrid working model combining office-based and remote work. Approximately 25% global travel is required.
