To facilitate this transformation, a new Business Operations Business Unit is being established, bringing together existing business service activities, and driving further expansion of centralized services at scale into a global unit, with a focus on driving simplification, efficiency, and productivity.This new Business Unit will enable the delivery of best-in-class business support capabilities across the organization, incorporating and engaging disparate teams from across areas such as R&D, M&S, the Corporate Functions and GBUs into new global Service Delivery Towers with initial services spanning Commercial, Finance, Procurement and People & Culture.Reporting to the Global Process Lead, the Global Process Expert plays a critical role in the design, execution, and transformation of Sanofi’s Source to Pay strategy. As Global Process Expert, the incumbent will be responsible for the design, development, optimization, and governance of parts of the S2P process, a key L2 process in the organizations Source to Pay core model. They bear the responsibility for driving process standardization, optimization, and improvement initiatives across the organization’s global operations. This role involves working closely with regional and local teams and outsourced service provider, as well as a deep understanding of S2P technology (Coupa, Concur etc.), to identify, develop, and implement best practices that enhance efficiency, quality, and consistency of processes worldwide.Role and Responsibilities:Drive best-in-class design for the end-to-end Procurement process from Strategic Budget Planning, Category Management, Supplier Management to Sourcing.Strategic Planning & Budget: Optimize existing COGS budget, pricing, forecasting and savings process to support Manufacturing & Supply as well as Finance teams in P&L generation.Category Strategy: Enabling Procurement Domains and Categories by investigating into a tool-supported strategy process and by supporting to deliver relevant data for Procurement strategies.Supplier Management: Develop today’s Supplier Management framework into a best-in-class model. Enable automated feeding of Procurement teams with relevant supplier information.Sourcing: Enable a best-in-class Sourcing process leveraging Coupa Sourcing Module. Ensure that outsourced support to Procurement is provided in globally consistent and efficient way.Process Design and Optimization: Design fit for purpose processes and scope within the S2P value chain (level 2).Drive to be definition on future process in line with global best practices. Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement solutions to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Operate to, and promote, standardized and harmonized ways of working. Guide implementation of Core Model deployment in regions and follow Core Model gaps. Review and propose changes to Core Model design and documents to help deliver continuous improvement, compliance, efficiency, and positive user experience. Provide insight to, and recommend change requests and exceptions to the Core Model for approval/rejection. Provide pre-approval of desktop procedures and process documentations (i.e. Signavio)Stakeholder Management & Governance: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Procurement, Finance, IT, and Operations, to ensure alignment and collaboration.Involve stakeholders for project governance / incident / request / process resolution. Manage stakeholder meetings and follow-ups targeting a clear outcome. Ensure stakeholders are informed on outcomes whenever required. Ensure Internal Control and compliance requirements are embedded in process designs.Technology / Solution Optimization: Serve as a global expert in respective digital solution / process technology (e.g. Coupa Module, Concur)Set process and technology standards for the end-to-end process with oversight from the Global Process Lead. Understand market trends, benchmarks and best-in-class solutions. Provide options to drive best solution usage, user experience and automation as part of continuous improvement.Continuous Improvement Management: Lead and support the execution of core model improvement initiatives. Develops and manages overall project timelines, risks, issues, and escalations. Ensures appropriate documentation is maintained and CI process is followed Create communication plans to inform stakeholders about process changes and benefits. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the organization.Performance Reporting: Contribute to the KPI/DQI/metrics definition and propose improvements if required. Support implementation of KPIs in respective regions. Monitor KPI targets and provide guidance to regional teams on deviations when required. Create reporting packages where appropriate for regions (if appropriate).About youExperience: Proven experience in Source-to-Pay or Procure-to-Pay process ownership role. Demonstrated experience in process optimization, standardization, and change management. Experience in implementing source-to-pay technology solutions (e.g., e-procurement, spend analytics. International experience working with diverse cultures and global teamsSoft and Technical skills: Expert knowledge of S2P solutions (Coupa, Concur etc.)Additional certifications in process improvement methodologies (Lean, Six Sigma) are an advantage. Strong understanding of S2P processes at scale in a global context. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills. Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. Strategic thinker with the ability to translate strategy into actionable plans. Effective communicator with the ability to influence to drive adoption of standardized S2P processes. Ability to travel approximately 10% of the time.
