Job description: Job DescriptionAre you passionate about data-driven inventory optimization to develop one of the most trusted and valuable brands in the world?Utilise your data and analytical knowledge to help the business deliver its commercial targets!No relocation assistance is offered for this positionCore Responsibilities:Inventory reporting / analysis: Ownership of the global LEGO Retail inventory reporting and analysis. Reporting is covering metrics like In-Stock, stock turns, WOC or Exit Excess to name a few. Maintain and enhance current reporting mainly based in Excel and drive transformation into data Power BI were beneficial.Global collaboration & alignment. The LEGO Retail Inventory team collaborates with multiple teams within LEGO Retail but also within the LEGO group like Forecast Planning, Allocation or Supply Chain. Drive ongoing collaboration between different stakeholders and drive monthly alignment on actions due to current inventory situation.Global S&OP process. Involvement into the monthly global S&OP process supporting to set the global inventory strategy for the LEGO Retail business including Americas, Europe, Asia Pacific, and China region.Inventory Flow planning. Involvement into the monthly global LEGO Retail Inventory Flow planning process. Defining the correct inventory needs by item and channel and submit to supply chain and define the right Retail Closing Stock by region and channel.Inventory analysis. Be the go-to person for inventory related questions. Identify and communicate inventory risks and opportunities pro-actively to stakeholders during the monthly process and push for corrective actions.Commercial activity planning. Partnering with our marketing team to identify and suggest potential items to be activated during drive periodsPlay your part in our team succeedingThe LEGO Retail business is the direct-to-consumer footprint of the LEGO group with operating own E-commerce experience as well as physical Retail Stores globally in Americas, Europe, Asia Pacific, and China. The LEGO Retail inventory team is a global team of 2 positions in the broader LEGO Retail Planning, Merchandise & In-Stock (RPMI) team. With especially close collaboration to Retail Planning and Allocation & Distribution. The new role of the Global Inventory Manager will work closely together Senior Global Inventory Manager who is based in Munich to build the inventory strategy for the LEGO Retail business globally including Americas, Europe, Asia Pacific, and China.Do you have what it takes?Minimum bachelors degree within relevant field, e.g. Business, analytics or supply chain mgmt. Can also be a background within a commercial field with strong flair for process, numbers and understanding an end-to-end business processMin 5 years Planning and or analytical experience from commercial business. Preferred experience in a Retail business with an online sales platform, selling direct to consumer.Experience working in the Inventory area and familiar with Inventory Flow planning as well clear understanding of measures likes weeks of cover, In-Stock, Stock Turns.Experience with the monthly S&OP process while working in a planning or inventory functionExperience in working with large datasets and creating analysis and data driven dashboards in platforms like Excel, Power BI and Tableau or similar platforms.Strong analytical mindset. Ability to draw out patterns from larger amount of data and recommend appropriate business actions.Demonstrated strong collaboration skills across functions, cultures, and management levels. Experience working minimum at a regional level preferred if global experience is available.Process focused and systematic. Enjoy working in a monthly systematic cycle of business tasks.Strong communication skills. Has the ability to speak functionally/technical/detailed language with e.g. demand planners and merchandisersNice to have:Strong technology experience from retail/planning solutions like e.g. O9, Anaplan or similarExperience working in a global role in a Retail businessResult orientation and drive.
