In this role you will oversee and manage all aspects of compensation and benefits for our global operations. To deliver this will require agility, flexibility, relationship building, and a guest- and employee-centric mindset with a relentless continuous process-optimisation approach. A programmatic approach to supporting a complex model spanning multiple divisions, locations, role types and compensation structures.At HX, we are a passionate team who deliver our global operations from every corner of the world and our people are instrumental in continuing to inspire this adventure, play their part and deliver on our promise of guest centric and memorable experiences, benefiting the communities we visit, enriching our guests and inspiring a more sustainable world – to change the way they see the world.Key Responsibilities and Deliverables:Overall, you will take full ownership to design a Total Reward philosophy, and align all global Reward programs accordingly, to drive cost and compliance governance across HX, and deliver value for the business and our diverse and talented employees. You will also have a fantastic opportunity to crystallise culture, including our sustainability, diversity and engagement programs, and bring our HX Spirits to life by leading the creation of an inclusive Reward & Recognition program. In line with our “safety & compliance first” imperative, you will always deliver and execute responsibilities in a safe and compliant manner.
- You will build a sustainable but agile compensation structure that creates clarity of roles & levels, enabling regular competitive benchmarking reviews to support the ongoing effective attraction and retention of high performing, diverse talent. You will serve as an internal consultant to the executive leadership team & wider leaders on matters related to global compensation – including job role review, market aligned pay-mixes and sales/variable compensation design best practice.
- You will manage and continuously optimise an efficient and value-driving compensation review process, by partnering with the People & Culture team and ensuring seamless integration with the performance management process and curation of our HX culture.
- As an expert in your field, you will provide subject matter expertise on compensation and benefits benchmarking and reporting while creating a scalable reference process for the wider People & Culture team and business leaders.
- You will proactively manage & govern the pension and benefits portfolio for land and sea to ensure regulatory compliance, continuous cost effectiveness, and optimising for the attraction & retention of diverse talent.
- Continuously drive process and analytics efficiencies by leveraging MS Dynamics, Power BI and Workflow tools.
- You will proactively contribute to the design of wider People & Culture policies, practices and processes and continuous optimisation thereof.
- You will own the design and development of Equal pay practises, designing solutions to continuously identify and mitigate gender and other pay gaps, and be a key partner for ESG and/or any legislative reporting by bringing a sustainability lens into all you do.
About you:
- You have Commercial mindset with the ability to deliver and drive business objectives through reward policies, practices, and governance.
- You are a passionate expert in your field, with demonstrated experience and expertise in complex and varied, global compensation and benefits environments, including pension schemes.
- You have world-class analytical skills, leveraging information across the business & people spheres to drive business value; you have advanced experience in Excel and analytics tools (eg Power BI), and people systems to review, validate, and communicate critical as well as routine reporting for governance and to drive business value.
- You have exceptional partnership, consultation and solutioning skills, able to work effectively across diverse teams in a multinational organization.
Your Knowledge & Skills:
- You are fluent in English and ideally one additional European language.
- You have at least ten or more years’ experience with relevant certifications.
- You have proven multi-jurisdictional experience leading Compensation and Benefits or a similar role, demonstrating expertise in designing and implementing compensation and benefits strategies and integrating them into People / HR and business operations.
- You have expertise in reward practices, including competitive market analysis, and regulatory requirements, and corporate governance. As an expert practitioner, you are also a strong educator and coach, continuously seeking opportunities to upskill the wider people team and leaders with Reward competencies.
- You are an excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills, enabling you to partner and collaborate effectively across the wider business.
- You are detail-oriented and highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
- You have a demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive employee information with discretion.
- You have demonstrable experience of continuous Process optimisation, and enabling and empowering others to find efficiencies.
