DHI is committed to disseminating our knowledge effectively across our worldwide network of offices.Responsibilities and challengesWe are seeking a Global EHS Expert to lead the development and execution of strategic initiatives that enhance EHS performance across all global business units. Reporting to the VP of Global Legal & Compliance, you will be responsible for creating a safe, compliant, and high-performing organizational culture aligned with DHI’s purpose and values.You will be part of a diverse and collaborative team, working across regions and departments to drive excellence in environment, health and safety practices.Key responsibilities include:Strategic Leadership

  • Champion a culture of continuous improvement, safety, environmental sustainability and compliance across all business units.
  • Align EHS initiatives with DHI’s business strategy and sustainability goals.
  • Provide expert guidance to management and employees on EHS priorities.

System Development and Compliance

  • Develop and oversee global business management systems focused on risk management, process performance and environmental stewardship.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001, as the primary liaison with third-party certification bodies.
  • Lead the EHS organization to ensure statutory and regulatory compliance across all regions, with a particular focus on local requirements.
  • Conduct proactive and routine safety and environmental inspections.
  • Support incident investigations and develop prevention and corrective action plans for EHS concerns.

Training and Communication

  • Design and deliver EHS training programs, emphasising safety awareness, environmental protection, and accident prevention.
  • Prepare and present EHS reports, issues, and statistics to key stakeholders, including the Executive Leadership Team and Board of Directors.

Qualifications and personal skillsWe are looking for a candidate with the following qualifications:Required:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field.
  • Minimum 4 years of leadership experience in EHS.
  • Proven success in ISO certification processes and global compliance.
  • Strong understanding of risk management, incident investigation, and EHS regulations.
  • Proficiency in both Danish and English.
  • Proven track record in implementing EHS policies and driving improvement and sustainability programs within international teams.
  • Desirable: Relevant experience from a consultancy firm or the Oil & Gas industry.
