• Lead dedicated safety engagement across customer operations.
• Maintain a thorough understanding throughout the operational environment, and up to date training of WHS policies and procedures.
• Ensure alignment and implementation of current NHVL and WHS legislative requirements.
• Lead internal site specific Safety audits, to maintain safe and compliant operations.
• Ensure all operational specific Work Health & Safety related documentation are reviewed & current.
• Facilitate safety risk assessments, incident investigations, reporting and recording of incidents.
• Investigate serious transport and WHS incidents and prepare Safety Alerts within the defined timeframes.
• Advise and facilitate issue resolution on all Australian WHS and National Heavy Vehicle Law / regulatory matters.

This is a fully site based role.You will have the following qualities and qualifications

• Cert IV in OHS.
• Minimum 3 years Work, Health and Safety experience (ideally in 3PL or logistics).
• Experience in risk assessment and implementation of controls.
• Sound knowledge and working experience with Heavy Vehicle National Law.
• Demonstrated Transport Health and Safety knowledge with prior experience in Dangerous Goods preferred.
• Working knowledge of industry specific WH&S legislation, standards & applicable Codes of Practices.
• Management System Auditing accreditation is highly desired.
• Tertiary qualification in health sciences / human movement / sport science essential.
• Current Drivers License.
• Highly developed written and oral communication skills.
