We will do this by embedding our values to lead the organisation with a focus on safer gambling and good business practices.Our properties across Brisbane, the Gold Coast and Sydney are world-class with many award-winning hotels, restaurants, bars, and entertainment venues.As our General Manager Safer Gaming Compliance, reporting to the Group Chief Risk Officer, you will lead the overall management of Safer Gambling Compliance across The Star Entertainment Group, ensuring alignment with our strategic objectives and regulatory obligations.This is a fantastic opportunity where you will promote a culture of safer gambling awareness and compliance, support the development and delivery of training, and drive the Safer Gambling Strategy to facilitate compliance with obligations.A few of your responsibilities:

  • Promote a culture of safer gambling awareness and compliance at The Star
  • Own, review and monitor compliance with The Star’s Safer Gambling policies and procedures
  • Drive the development of the Safer Gambling Strategy to facilitate compliance with obligations
  • Report to relevant Board and Board Committees on safer gambling harm minimisation and related strategic initiatives
  • Support alignment of safer gambling policies and processes as appropriate across The Star properties

What we are looking for:

  • Undergraduate degree in a legal, commercial or business field
  • Strong risk and compliance experience within a large organisation in a leadership capacity
  • Experience in a highly regulated environment is desirable
  • Ability to interpret data and provide audit reports and analysis
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement customer service standards

About you:You are a strategic and experienced compliance leader with a strong understanding of regulatory frameworks and a passion for promoting safer gambling practices. You bring a collaborative mindset, excellent communication skills, and a proven ability to lead cross-functional teams in a complex, regulated environment.Your role will be pivotal in shaping the success of our safer gambling initiatives, ensuring we meet our compliance obligations while fostering a culture of responsibility and care across all properties.What we can offer you:
