Job description: The Team:The System Management and Reform (SMR) Group of the Department of Health is the central policy, strategy, and planning group for the Department. Government Relations and Strategic Policy (GRaSP) manages and progresses the Department’s strategic policy and government relations agenda by providing high level strategic support to the portfolio Ministers, Secretary, Departmental Executive members, Departmental business units and Hospitals South, North, North West on all matters that fall within the scope of GRaSP’s core business.The Role:The General Manager (GRaSP) is a specialist senior manager role whose primary objectives and responsibilities are to:
You will need (Up to 3 bullet points) * Demonstrated high level knowledge and understanding of the health sector and the political, social and organisational environment, together with specialist knowledge and understanding of government policy, processes and accountability requirements in the areas of regulation, intergovernmental relations, policy, communications and legislation.
Note: – Please refer to the Statement of Duties for all the selection criteria of this position to address in your application.Details of appointment:Fixed term, full time, day worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible until 31 October 2026.*notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.Salary:$170,409 to $188,400 per annum + our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount.
