With over 200 distinct partner relationships , The Trade Desk has shown it can grow in global markets when impactful and important data partnerships are in place – this role will have an outsized impact on our ability to earn share in India.What you’ll do:The General Manager, Data Partnerships & Retail role is a key leadership position that will set the vision, strategy and lead the team responsible for identifying, securing, maintaining and growing the partnerships that enable the Trade Desk’s targeting, measurement, identity, retail, CTV and pre- and post-bid solutions in India. This role is key to transforming the India market by establishing powerful partnerships that enable advertisers to choose the Trade Desk.You will define the data partnerships strategy for India, prioritizing which partnerships are most necessary to power both short-term and long-term growth.

  • You will identify, engage, develop relationships, understand partner capabilities and opportunities, negotiate, contract, on-board data, and manage the on-going partnership as the platform develops within the market.
  • You will leverage the expertise of global teams who are the experts in audience, measurement, identity & retail partnerships to apply standard operations to the development and management of partnerships in India.
  • You and your partnerships will be instrumental in driving record-breaking market growth in an important market for the Trade Desk. You will manage direct reports who support the day-to-day operations with partners to ensure the data can support current and future advertisers in India.
  • Be part of the India Senior Leadership to build a Data Partnerships strategy.
  • Identify, negotiate, contract, integrate, manage, optimize, and rationalize data partners to support advertiser’s needs on the platform and to support growth objectives
  • Leverage the expertise of Data Partnerships team members sitting outside India to deploy best practices and move quickly
  • Maintain regular communications and checkpoints with partners to report on performance, innovation and future opportunities that leverages their data to influence advertiser’s campaigns
  • Work with commercial teams to evangelize, educate and grow the use of partner offerings
  • Facilitate communication internally and externally related to partnerships (demands, strategies, roadmaps, operational requirements, etc.)
  • Represent The Trade Desk’s Audience strategy and business by speaking at industry events, participating on panels and drafting original content for publication
  • Manage, develop and grow a team of direct and indirect reports

Who you are:

  • 15+ years of leadership experience in partnership development and management with an emphasis on data used for targeting
  • Experience in CPG, Retail and/or CTV partnerships and audience measurement data
  • Adept at both developing strategies and operating day-to-day within cross-functional teams
  • Willing to role up the sleeves to take on the heavy lifting required of integrating new partners in an emerging market with limited resources
  • A well-respected thought leader within the industry, able to command the stage at industry events and author original content for relevant publications
  • Manage initiatives in complex matrixed environments and make actionable decisions in the absence of perfect information
  • Proven ability to operate in a fast-paced environment that requires context switching several times in a day as you cover multiple dimensions within the partnerships organization
  • Experience with strategic partner management, value creation conversations, business and contractual negotiation
  • Exhibit high emotional intelligence and integrity and build deep consultative partnerships with your business stakeholders
  • Influence individuals at the executive level and drive strategic business transformations
  • Track record of helping direct reports grow their capabilities, responsibilities and careers
