This leadership role offers a unique career opportunity to make a significant impact within a fast-moving global organisation.You will be at the forefront of shaping our capital portfolio management, implementing a robust capital allocation framework, providing decision support and investment evaluation and optimising the governance of capital expenditure.Reporting directly to the Director of Finance Core Operations, you will be an integral part of a talented leadership team that fosters a supportive culture. This is an exciting time to join Fonterra, as we are at a pivotal moment of transformation and growth.Responsibilities will include:Portfolio Strategy: Lead the development of our capital portfolio strategy delivering industry analysis and forecasts.Planning, Analysis and Governance: You will deliver Group capital planning and analysis and manage the Group investment process, decision support and evaluation and governance.Capital allocation framework: Develop and implement a capital allocation framework to support corporate and portfolio strategy.Asset management: You will oversee the long- term asset footprint to effectively respond to demand and growth opportunities.Stakeholder Management: Build strong relationships internally and externally across the leadership team, capital markets, investment banks and shareholders.Leadership: You will be an excellent leader and demonstrate an authentic leadership style that aligns teams behind our purpose and strategy.About you:The ideal candidate will possess the following competencies and experience:

  • Educational Qualifications: Bachelors or Masters degree in finance or engineering.
  • Strategic Expertise: Expert knowledge and world-class understanding of strategy, capital and portfolio management.
  • Capital Allocation: Extensive experience in capital allocation, including the ability to prioritise investments, manage financial resources and optimise returns.
  • Governance: Proficient in establishing and maintaining capital governance frameworks that ensure compliance, transparency and accountability across the organisation.
  • Critical Thinking: Strong critical thinking skills, with the ability to analyse complex problems, identify key issues, and develop innovative solutions.
  • Leadership: A proven track record of successfully developing and leading high-performance teams in complex large organisations.
  • Industry Exposure: Experience in the dairy or manufacturing or commodities industries.
