Job description: The primary responsibility of General Manager is to act as a strategic business leader for all aspects of restaurant operations. Executes business plans that are targeted to increase profits and market share. Formulating systems, formats & procedures for the company in line with brand standards. Convey a clear, consistent, and effective message when communicating with stakeholders. Overseeing the complete operations of the organization in accordance with the direction established in the strategic plans.
Developing the Oman growth strategy and business plan by expanding the current brands, and onboarding more of company’s brands into the Oman market.
Achieving the organization’s overall strategic goals and profitability requirements as determined by the strategic plans.
Representing the company with all stakeholders, shareholders, affiliates, governmental entities, and key partners
Stays current with industry trends and monitors strengths and weakness of competition; explores new business opportunities; develops business plans designed to maximize profitability and market share in Oman.
Accountable for delivery of business plans; experiments with new ideas and takes calculated risks to improve guest satisfaction and profitability.
Evaluates the success of business strategies to inform future business plan enhancements; continually ensure business plans and actions have a positive impact on the organization.
Works closely with Sales and Marketing team to develop revenue-generating strategies.
Creates learning and development opportunities for employees; effectively executes development plans for both direct and indirect staff.
Create and build strong relationships with key stakeholders, guests and potential clients and provide oversight of ongoing financial reporting, forecasting, and planning.
Optimize the overall sales and revenue management strategy to capture growth and deliver long-term profitability.
Demonstrate open-mindedness and embrace different perspectives.
Representing company in matters related to JV relations and maintaining efficient relationships with JV partners.
Developing and maintaining budgets.
Planning, coordinating, and managing all business operations to achieve corporate goals.
Evaluating current business processes and systems
Determine staffing requirements and ensure that company positions are filled promptly.
Develop and manage the company’s monthly management systems that focus on KPI’s and drive performance to expected levels.
Reviewing each brand’s performance and evaluating each branch to assess any required development.
Maintaining awareness of both the external and internal competitive opportunities for expansion, customers, markets, new industry developments, standards and so forth.
Regularly report operational activities and potential business opportunities together with any recommendations to corporate management.
Assist management in the development of new concepts.
