Job description: How will you CONTRIBUTE and GROW?Partnering closely with the BSC( Business Shared Services) in Argentina, the Supervisor will oversee key local General Ledger functions for NAM (North America), AHI (American Air Liquide Inc) and AAL (American Air Liquide), including approving monthly close journal entries, reviewing balance sheet reconciliations, management of the accrual, forecasting, and allocation of reserves, as well as active participation in local audit processes.Job Requirements:Responsible for reserve accounting, including but not limited to, group medical, insurance, profit sharing, rent, audit fees, pension, bad debt/obsolescence, asset retirement obligations, and regulatory reservesResponsible for providing reserve allocations to operations controllers during Target and Reforecast periodsPrepare and present quarterly reserve schedule to the CFOSupport Director with external audit for the NAM Cluster local auditReview balance sheet reconciliations prepared by the Business Service Center in Argentina, and attend quarterly balance sheet review meetingsApprove monthly journal entriesAssist with implementation of consistent accounting policies across all Cluster entitiesPartner closely with the Business Service Center in Argentina to provide excellent customer service to our internal customersProvide technical accounting expertise, including the creation of technical accounting memorandaDevelop answers to complex questions on figures to be reportedMaintain desk procedures documentationAssist/drive accounting department projects as needed with a strong emphasis on process improvementsDevelop ad hoc schedules for planning and decision making, and assist with special projects as necessaryKeep current on International Financial Reporting Standards, and related accounting issuesAccountable for accuracy and consistency of the data reported and usedComply, without exception, with all safety regulations and guidelines while on Company propertyAre you a MATCH?​QualificationsEducationBachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Management and/or equivalent experience in Accounting related processes.Experience/Certifications6+ years experience in an accounting role, Master’s Degree plus 3+ years Accounting experience will be consideredCPA or CPA CandidateStrong analytical, interpersonal, and communication skillsAbility to multitask and adapt to changing environmentsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsDemonstrate ability to drive process improvement, must be a self-starter with strong organizational skills and attention to detailMust possess the energy and drive to execute under pressure and meet tight deadlinesProven ability to work both independently and jointly with varying levels of employeesProficient with Microsoft and Google toolsOvertime required during critical periodsThis position is an office-based positionInternational Travel Required up to two times per yearProficiency in OracleLanguage RequirementsEnglish fluency [C1/B2].Spanish fluency.French and/or Portuguese are a plus.Preferred Qualifications:Public Accounting work experience#LI-MB5Our Differences make our PerformanceAt Air Liquide, we are committed to build a diverse and inclusive workplace that embraces the diversity of our employees, our customers, patients, community stakeholders and cultures across the world.We welcome and consider applications from all qualified applicants, regardless of their background.
