Maintain the General Ledger for JACK Thistledown and JACK Cleveland Casino
Prepare reconciliations for various accounts, ensuring proper supporting documentation is included
Prepare schedules for use in audits and financial reporting
Assist with timely submission and coding of invoices
Monitor aged balances
Review and verify accuracy of related party monthly billings
Closely monitor all general accounting functions including but not limited to prepaids amortizations, credit card processing, cash reconciliations, accounts payable and receivable ledgers, oversight of posting monthly inventory balances.
Assists finance leadership in assuring timely responses to internal and external audit recommendations. Manage the implementation of corrective action plans where needed.
Communicates both written and orally with affiliated departments on profit and loss statements to ensure accurate financial reporting.
Records and files associated tax payments.
Reviews and posts month end journal entries to record revenue and expenses to the general ledger
Ensures timely completion and accuracy of balance sheet account reconciliations.
Monitor current accounting systems and procedures and revise as needed.

Education and Experience
Bachelors in Business with a concentration in Accounting or Finance. CPA preferred
Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting role
Strong technical accounting experience and knowledge of GAAP, casino, hospitality or real estate accounting experience is a plus
Proven ability to prepare accurate and timely financial information for a consolidated organization with complex transactions
Experience in preparing account reconciliations and journal entries
Ability to work collaboratively with peers and across boundaries
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Results-oriented, proactive and intellectually curious
Ability to prioritize and work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Strong knowledge of Excel and Microsoft Office required. Experience with accounting software packages is a plus
Gaming industry experience preferred but not required.
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Required Certification/License
Ability to obtain, and maintain a Gaming Occupational license with the State of Ohio
Ability to obtain, and maintain an Ohio Lottery License with the State of Ohio
