Job description: Job SummaryJob DescriptionWhat is the opportunity?
The Analyst – Futures Executions, within CM – Business and Client Services (BCS), works closely with Futures Front Office and Futures Clearing teams to ensure a controlled process for the following functions are administered and in line with all internal and external regulatory requirements and standing orders:Reconciliation/validation of Give-up and Give-in execution execution fee transactionsPayment and collection of all agreed upon/validated Future execution feesEnsuring books and records related to Futures Executions are properly reflected in financial resultsManaging overall Futures Execution Receivables/Payables balancesWhat will you do?Perform all operational aspects of CM FIC Futures functions mentioned aboveWork with the business and support functions to optimize processes to mitigate risk and enhance efficiency and controlAct as key contact to Front Office, Futures Clearing, IT and FIA-Tech for Futures Execution functions managed within the teamAdhere to reporting requirements for all levels of management, ensuring all business needs are metMaintain up to date Procedure Documents in accordance with RBC’s Standing OrdersWork closely with IT on understanding data/application workflows and establishing standard procedures, ensuring proper data integrity is maintained within all systemsReconcile and attest GL and Balance Sheet – Ensuring outstanding receivables/payable within the banks processing systems are in line with the balances in the bank’s books and recordsParticipation in the delivery of CM – BCS Strategic objectivesWhat you need to succeed?Must-Have1 – 2 years of relevant experienceIntermediate to advanced knowledge of ExcelKnowledge of end-to-end trade life cycle functions/processes within a Capital Markets, Securities Trading, or similar environment, gained through experience – Specific to Futures TradingUnderstanding of the flow of costs related Capital Markets business activitiesA change leader and conceptual/strategic thinkerStrong Communication SkillsHighly organized with attention to detail and an ability to analyze informationGood working knowledge of Capital Markets operational functions and processes including familiarity with front, middle and back office trading and operating platforms and sub-ledger systemsNice-to-haveBBA/BCOM/BSC/MBAKnowledge of QlikView, SQL as assetWhat’s in it for you?We thrive on the challenge to be our best, progressive thinking to keep growing, and working together to deliver trusted advice to help our clients thrive and communities prosper.
