Job description: Job Title: Front End DeveloperJob DescriptionWe are seeking a skilled Front End Developer to join our dynamic team in Vancouver, BC. This position involves contributing to the development of our next-generation payments website, focusing on creating HTML/XHTML and CSS. The role requires expertise in converting design mockups to cross-browser compatible code, and collaborating with various teams to enhance user experience.Responsibilities

• Use design software to create mockups and HTML prototypes for new features.
• Build and code static and dynamic pages from mockups and additional specifications.
• Create and manage CSS styles and frameworks.
• Ensure customer-facing new features meet style requirements.
• Develop optimized, cross-platform front-end code in CSS/XHTML and JavaScript.
• Create code for front-end behaviors with Dynamic HTML.
• Cross-browser test and troubleshoot site presentation.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, backend engineers, and researchers to refine the user experience.
• Develop functional prototypes to demonstrate concepts and enable rapid iterative support for usability research.

Essential Skills

• Minimum 4 years of experience in front-end web development.
• Expert in React
• Experience with Typescript
• Expert in HTML/XHTML hand-coding.
• Expert in CSS for content styling and layout.
• Understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues.
• JavaScript skills preferred.
• Ability to operate in a Linux environment.
• Expert in major design applications like Fireworks or Photoshop.
• Experience with React development for at least 2 years.
• Understanding of DevOps and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong comprehension and communication skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with TypeScript.
• AWS experience is a differentiator.
• Experience working with APIs and UX testing.
• Proficiency in HTML/CSS and Linux setup.
• Ability to work with Git and deployment pipelines.

Work EnvironmentThis role will be fully in office in Downtown Vancouver. The team culture emphasizes collaboration, with a focus on project delivery and meeting strong engineering demands.
