Job description: Join Our Team as a Yard Forklift Operator!We are seeking a dedicated Yard Forklift Operator to become an integral part of our team. In this dual-role position, you will split your time working both inside the warehouse and outdoors in the yard. As a key member of our team, you’ll be responsible for operating a variety of forklifts, including sit-down counterbalance propane (outdoor) and Raymond Reach (indoor), to efficiently load and unload materials and ensure the smooth movement of goods throughout the yard.Advantages
Monday to Friday; Shift times will vary between 6:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Break: 30-minute unpaid break
Pay: $21.00 per hourResponsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
Operate Forklifts: Safely and efficiently operate propane forklifts and Raymond Reach to transport materials within both the warehouse and yard.
Load and Unload Shipments: Accurately load and unload shipments, ensuring materials are securely stacked and organized.
Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by assisting clients with loading their orders, ensuring a positive experience.
Inventory Tracking: Use RF scanners to track inventory and monitor order progress, ensuring accurate order fulfillment.
Safety and Cleanliness: Maintain a safe, clean, and organized workspace, consistently adhering to all safety protocols and standards.
Additional Warehouse Support: Assist with other general warehouse tasks as needed to ensure smooth and efficient operations.Qualifications
-Forklift Certificate (required).
-Experience operating Counter Balance Propane (outdoor) and Raymond Reach (indoor) forklifts.
-Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
-Customer service skills (an asset).
-Ability to lift and move heavy items as needed.
-Comfortable working both inside and outside in various weather conditions.
-Steel-toed boots required (candidate’s responsibility)Summary
