Acciona has been awarded the Design & Construct contract for the Singleton Bypass. This major project will see construction of 8km of single lane highway with approximately 2.5 km of bridge structures and upgrades to local intersections. This diverse and challenging project has a 2 year construction program ensuring longevity in your role and presenting opportunities to grow within the business.To support the delivery of this project we are now seeking two experienced Civil Supervisors to join our team. Reporting directly to the Project Superintendent, your primary focus will be to coordinate the onsite construction activities for our civils packages, ensuring our sub-contract teams are operating and performing in a timely, efficient, and safe manner.Key Responsibilities:Supervision of civil packages including detailed earthworks, drainage, services, and utilities as well as pavements and landscaping to deliver outputs against the programParticipate in daily pre-starts, program and handover meetings, weekly toolboxes, and look-ahead meetings with the construction teamFacilitate weekly safety walks and conduct regular observations and inspections throughout the weekEncourage and maintain a “Safety-First” mindset amongst the crew through coaching and mentoring to minimise the occurrence of incidentsEnsure that records, reports, invoices, and timesheets are submitted in a timely mannerBe proactive and provide innovative ideas and solutions to potential issues and to improve current systems, practices, and proceduresRequired Skills and CompetenciesPrevious experience delivering civil packages including roadworks and earthworksAbility to work independently to organise and prioritise current programs and scheduled works.Proven communicator who can lead, train and influence positively those around them.We welcome applicants of all backgrounds, identities, and experiences.
